Sect. 4.5: Slope of a Line
Today we will find the slope of a line using a graph.
Part 1:
Open Find slope of line using graph.notebook. Write each answer in your notebook. When everyone is ready we will check the answers through chat! :)
Play the Slope_Game.gsp! Match each line with the correct slope. When you think you have all find, show the points to check.
Part 2:
Go to steepness of a line applet. Move the purple button to manipulate the slope of the line. Watch what happens to the line as you move the slope. Observe that line at positive and negative values of slope.
When ready answer the following questions...Steeper lines are associated with larger/smaller slopes? Even if the slope is negative?
